TIPTOE COTTAGE HAS BEEN AWARDED 4TH BEST RATED BABY FRIENDLY HOLIDAY COTTAGE
Best Rated by 2015 Guests (UK)
I am delighted to announce that Tiptoe Cottage has been awarded the 4th Best Rated Baby Friendly Holiday Cottage in its first year!
"New to BFB in 2015 this lovely cottage and its thoughtful owner, Jane, quickly earned fantastic reviews, as much for its lovely interior and brilliant baby/toddler gear as Jane’s thoughtful welcome packs, which always include a wonderful home-made surprise!
We send you a virtual round of applause and a BIG THANK YOU! The 2015 results really were fantastic. I personally am extremely proud to work with so many clearly excellent properties and honoured to represent people who are obviously passionate about delivering outstanding holidays. I'd like to thank every BFB owner and manager, as all percentages were very very high, but especially those listed in the 10-Bests as your scores are nothing short of INCREDIBLE. Thank you, thank you, thank you." Siam Williams, Founder of Baby Friendly Boltholes.
HOMEMADE CLEMENTINE & COINTREAU CURD
Bespoke Welcome Pack
The lovely thing about the nights drawing in is there has been more time to create new seasonal products for the December Welcome Pack.
This is the first year I have made Clementine and Cointreau Curd, or any curd for that matter. We have found the best way to enjoy it is to toast some fresh farmhouse bread, ideally over the firepit or in front of the log burner, then lazy back with a hot tea or warm milk on one of the garden benches to savour the flavour. Yummy!
NEW FOREST PIGS
See the New Forest pigs roaming free
Come and spend a few days expolring the New Forest this autumn and see the pigs roaming free to eat the acorns. This age old tradition, more commonly known as Pannage or Common of Mast, is a rare and mesmerising sight.
The pigs role is vital as the acrons are poisionous in large quanities to cattle and ponies. The pigs wander the forest eating the acorns and other nuts from the forest floor and can easily be seen enjoyed on a walk in the forest.
Tiptoe Cottage Elderflower
Summer is officially arrived, the first Tiptoe Cottage Cordial has been made, so I am now able to add all of the ingredient for Tiptoe Cottage Summer Signature Tipple to the bespoke Welcome pack.
Take one glass and fill with ice.
Add a large slug of the homemade Tiptoe Cottage Elderflower Cordial
Add the juice of half a lime and a few lime slices to the glass.
Pour in gin until the ice floats (we love the locally made Conker Gin) or leave out!
Top up with soda water and sit back and relax enjoying the garden….
